The BCRFA - Okanagan Branch proudly presents the 11th Annual Wine & Dine Okanagan promotion from January 16 to February 3, 2013 showcasing local BCRFA restaurant members. Participating restaurants offer diners their choice of a three-course dinner menu valued at: $15, $25 and/or $35 per person paired with BC wines.

Please note that the BCRFA must receive 2X $25 gift certificates before December 15th. 

WHY IT WORKS:
Wine & Dine is simple for guests. People love great value with exceptional quality – and you get to feature suggested Okanagan wines! Guests also enjoy supporting local events and investing in their communities.

EVENT FORMAT
• Last year, over 40 restaurants participated with many seeing double-digit sales growth!
• Menus are uploaded to the BCRFA website with over 60,000 hits during the promotional period.
• Tasting Launch Event was SOLD OUT with over 250 guests. This year’s forecast is 350!
• Awareness amongst over 25,000 diners and the e-mail database grew to over 5,000 diners.
• Restaurants contribute 2 x $25 gift certificates to be used for consumer promotions.

MARKETING:
Our promotion generates awareness and sales throughout the Thompson-Okanagan region. Tools included:
• PRINT ADVERTISING in the Okanagan newspapers including Vernon,Penticton and Kelowna.
• ONLINE ADVERTISING - Website, social media and YOUR MENU(s). Viewing the website is highly desired by consumers to easily look up menus and wine pairings online.
• TV and / or RADIO ADVERTISING campaign on the Wine and Dine promotion.
• PUBLIC RELATIONS - the opportunity for you to participate with regional media at launch events.

OTHER PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
o Restaurant bill fold inserts - A pre-launch promotion that will enable participants to place inserts into billfolds to generate buzz and repeat customers.
o Posters - custom designed posters will be provided to each participant.
o Menu Templates – an added benefit for members, we’ll help you design your custom menu!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
1. The Wine & Dine promotion runs from Wednesday, January 16 to Sunday February 3, 2013.
2. Develop a special three course menu valued at $15, $25 and/or $35, plus HST, beverages, and gratuities. You may offer one, two or all three menu options.
3. Send 2x$25 Gift Cards to BCRFA head office (address below) to be used for Wine $ Dine Promotion.
4. You take bookings directly, prepare a Wine & Dine Okanagan ‘feature sheet’ using the logo and otherwise operate as normal.
5. Complete the menu template and email info@bcrfa.com or fax 604-669-6175 for upload to the website. If you prefer, provide us the information and we can design the menu for you!
6. Update your BCRFA profile page – Let guests know more about you! You can upload videos, your full menu and more!
